A reset is not a rescue. Its only job is to put ten minutes and one written decision between you and the next stake. Decide the steps now, while you are calm, so that during a session you are following a list rather than thinking.
Set a timer for ten minutes and put the device face down. Do not close the app in a way you will re-open in ninety seconds — actually leave the room.
One line: what the session balance is, right now, as a figure. Not "down a bit" — the actual number, including the deposits you made tonight.
"Would I open this stake now, at this size, with no history tonight?" If the answer is no, the reason is the previous result, and that is chasing.
Your stake size and your loss limit. If either now feels too small, that is the signal, not an argument.
Close for the night, continue at the written stake size with the limit unchanged, or stop entirely and set an operator limit before your next session. There is no fourth option that involves a bigger stake.
Write one sentence, in advance, that ends a session with no discussion. A common shape is: "If I break a rule twice in one session, the session ends." The count is of broken rules, not of losses — you do not control losses, you do control conduct.
If you run the reset three times in seven days, the problem is no longer a session. Take a full week off, and use it to set operator-level limits: deposit, loss and session-time. Those are enforced by the operator rather than by mood.
Arousal and urgency fade on a scale of minutes, not seconds, and a "break" spent watching the same market on a second screen does not interrupt anything. Ten minutes offline is the cheapest version of the intervention; every escalation after that gets more expensive.
